This blog in 2014: A review…

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog. Now I won’t pretend it’s an amazingly interesting read but it’s a read 😀

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 28,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 10 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

7 years of Burro-y goodness, you lucky devils…

Seven years… Bloody hell…

Update: Probably best to point out I have been blogging about ten years in total though, 7 here, part of a year with this blog on Blogger and then my own wordpress.org site for about 3 years before that.

My blog’s 2012 in review…

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 16,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 4 Film Festivals

A 100% lack of Burro-y goodness…

Hi folks, I’m coming to you live(ish) from somewhere near Toronto which should go someway to explaining the silence of this blog. That and my increasingly busy schedule at work and the added family time that a new young gazelleling has brought. Frankly it’s a wonder I have time to write even this short post (which, in truth, has been stopped & restarted several times).

I’ll be back in the UK on the 28th (missing all the early access to and, in all probability, the first day of Guild Wars 2) but then my work ramps up another notch so I can’t see me having time to post here got a while. Still, I’ll be on Twitter a bit & in Tyria so I’m not going anywhere, just going quiet here for a bit.

See you in Lion’s Arch!

2010 in review, or “How Hammy, pron, google, a bug and even the Lab made me”

Those lovely people at WordPress sent me an email to tell me how my blog is doing and from the stats below I think that despite all my efforts I can only attribute my success to the following things – a link from New World Notes, perverts looking for a big cock, people (inexplicably) searching for pictures of Big Ben’s insides, a strange coding bug by CNN and a single link from the Second Life wiki. Good job I couldn’t give a toss 😀

The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a high level summary of its overall blog health:
