My mate Enjah has been a busy bee of late – she’s been making more and more films and her latest is a real doozie! Tiny noir reaches new hieghts with her wonderful film “The Malted Bunneh”, a tale of greed, lust, deception and murder in Nova Albion city!
And like any good filmmaker, she’s even added a blooper track!
p.s. Is it just me, or is Officer Hawkins the best looking one in the whole film?
Time for an update on Murray, my old home, I think. What? You agree? Goodo!
Well, I popped over recently and found that Naughty Mole has added a metric tone of plants to beautify the place as well as some rather lovely paths with half a mountain of buried stones. She’s also added some Brighton style beach huts and one of them is a nifty place for changing your appearance – try it, it’s pretty clever
Whilst there I bumped into Naughty Mole (who’s been charged with renovating the old infohub) and her colleague Silent Mole (who looked a little different the last time I met her ) and they were working on the cool toobs (they were updating the scripts in them, but they were using original Ben Linden toobs from 2004!
My but what sights you see when cycling through the city, whether it’s half sunken houseboats or bodies suspended in strange squiddy creatures, Steelhead certain keeps you on your toes. But even with all that, I was still surprised to find a small, wee blimp bobbing about outside the shops in Shamain near my home in the slums.
A recent call from Marianne McCann sent me dashing over to North Channel, the region between Nova Albion & Bay City to see the latest exciting development in Bay City’s exciting short life – following a meeting of the Bay City Alliance, Michael Linden was hard at work on raising an island to house a fairground! I TPed over and found the access route shut off…
Pressing ahead I could clearly see just how hard Michael was working – he had a barge set up and the Alliance’s plans set out so he knew exactly where to dredge and where to drop.
I had to leave but when I came back a few days later, the land mass was all but finished! Next stop, add the rides! (That’s the ‘burbs of Shermville at the top and the Grignano region of Nova Albion to the right)
It’s that time of year again – March is the anniversary of Nova Albion’s opening after Magellan found it on behalf of the Lab and February is the time the residents & friends of the city get together to plan the parade to commemorate this historic event.
LisaHot Juran, Nova Albion fan extraordinaire, called together a meeting to discuss the time, place and plans for 2010′s sixth anniversary and plenty of people came to help…
The ever busy Osprey laid out plans for routes as well as displayed the posters for the parade & the renactment of the historic invasion of ducks…
Finally, LJ rezzed up the new street signs she’s been working on to seek comments – I love ‘em! Really American and clear and stylish!
I’ll be posting more about the parade as it draws near, but for now pencil Saturday March 20th 2pm SLT into your diaries because you are all welcome to join in the fun! Come and walk, run, ride or fly with us! Why not grab a free float base from the vendors in the city and build your own float to join the parade
You can see pictures from the last two parades here and here and read more posts about Nova Albion here.
I was in Pomponio recently and realised that the new building I was looking at (well, new to me – I’ve not been over that way for a while) belonged to my mate Mossant!
In some of the oldest land in SL, she’s built a rather lovely retreat that’s open to everyone. But I notice from the land details that she’s selling up! So if you fancy owning a little piece of SL’s history, pop over there now and snap it up!
Krystine Qinan has been really busy building in Steelhead Shanghai and she’s added a wonderful temple. I don’t know what it is for yet, but as it has a ruddy great fish on the walls, I’m going to pretend she made it to honour the mighty Steelhead. As you can see, it’s quite a size (this picture was taken before it was moved a little, swapping places with the terraces).
She’s done a brilliant job with the roof – I just fell in love with these corners and joints!
And look up at the wonderful golden dragons on top…
All hail The Fish!
So pop over and check it out – and if you’d like to know more about living in the slums just IM Krystine Qinan in-world
Wowsers! My old mate Nish has been a busy bee! Her Butterfly House (visit it here) is really taking shape now – Frank and I took an early moring ride out into Boomtown (you don’t see the scamps up at dawn, and in Boomtown they tend to stick to the old mines and tunnels rather than the streets so I feel safe) to see it and we weren’t dissapointed! It’s going to be beautiful! Have a poke about and you’ll find she’s added a few fun things you can sit on
I hear that her experiments to breed an anti-vampire vampire moth are going so well she’s thinking of branching out into the anti-zombie field! Maybe she needs to speak to Osprey about these developments as Ms Therian is also a keen developer of anti-monster products…
Right, I’ve had enough. I want to IM in-world from my phone. Before you mention Sparkle or Touch Life let me stop you there. I *don’t* have a iPhone or iPad or an iAnything. I have a Windows Mobile phone. That means my phone, whilst having some lovely features life a working Office suite, was designed to be as much fun as say your average stapler and has apps like Weather! and Productivity Now! and GeoTagMe!
Jesus.
Enough. I want – and will fucking wll pay for! – an app that allows me to IM with SL. That’s all. That’s not a lot to ask for. Just IM. I’d love more, but I will settle for IM. Now will someone please – PLEASE – make the fucker and put me out of my Windows Mobile misery.
I love – LOVE! – this neat little gizomo on Avatrian (huge TY to Osprey for finding it!). You simply enter a sim name and the X,Y & Z coordinates and in a few mins you have a 360 degree photo-view point thingy of that spot! How cool is that? This is the view from my camp in Stelhead St Helens. Go to the Avatrian Peek 360 site and try one for yourself!
